Interact is a service and social club of young people ages 12-18.  Founded in 2001-2002 Rotary year, Boulder Interact is a community based club and allows any middle school or high school student in the Boulder Valley School District to participate.  The club gets involved in local and international service projects and was founded by Ty Melton and has seen participation from many Rotarians through the years. 

Local Projects

  • Volunteered at Boulder Rotary's Oktoberfest
  • Habitat for Humanity Workday
  • Pumpkin Carving at the Family Learning Center with disadvantaged youth
  • Throwing a Halloween party for the local organization Family Self Sufficiency
  • Decorating Trees of Remembrance for Boulder County County Hospice
  • Sorting Coats for Kids
  • Distributing Christmas Presents at Share a Gift
  • Collecting Crutches for Africa
  • Participating in the District Interact Denver Health Christmas Party
  • Serving as Road Marshals for the Buffalo Bicycle Classic
  • Serving Meals at Boulder Homeless Shelter and the Denver Rescue Mission
  • Collecting coins for Trick or Treat for Unicef
  • Participating in the District Interact Valentine Party at Mt. St. Vincent


Bill Rubin is BRC's committee chair for Boulder High School.  Doug Yeiser and Tom Stiers are the co-chairs of this committee for Fairview High School.
