Friday Meetings Online
Join meetings from anywhereBoulder Rotary Club’s Friday meetings are available live, online. You can watch and listen to a meeting as it happens, on your computer, tablet or smartphone.The meetings are broadcast using the Zoom video conferencing app. You do not need to have an account with Zoom. You do need the Zoom app installed on your device. The first time you click the link below, you will have the option to install the Zoom app (if it isn’t already present), and then you will be connected to the meeting. The next time you click to join, you will go directly into the meeting.

About Installation – The installation process depends on whether you’re using a computer or an iPhone/iPad or an Android. Expand one of the sections below for detailed installation instructions.
A note about audio. While tablets and smartphones have internal speakers, many computers especially older desktops do not. For those, you will want to have external speakers connected and powered up. Tablet and phone users might want to use external speakers for the improved audio clarity.
Computer

- Clicking the link above, [Join BRC Meeting], opens the Zoom website to a page that says “Launching.” In the lower right corner, click “download & run Zoom.”
- Watch for a message about download progress at the bottom of the window.
- After the download finishes, click the file name or a [Run] button to begin the install.
- You may have to click again for security checks.
- Zoom installs
- ‘Enter your name’ window opens. Enter your name and click [Join Meeting].
- ‘Video Preview’ window opens, click [Join without Video].
- A dialog box opens with options for connecting to audio. Click [Join with Computer Audio].
- You will be connected into the meeting.

iPhone/iPad

- Clicking the link above, [Join BRC Meeting], opens the Zoom website. Look for the message “… please download Zoom app from App Store”Tap the link [App Store].
- The “ZOOM Cloud Meetings” app page opens in the App Store. Tap the download button (cloud with down arrow).
- After the download, touch the [OPEN] button.
- Zoom opens. Tap [Join a Meeting].
- In the ‘Meeting ID’ field, enter 3033034444. Then tap [Join a Meeting].
- This message appears – ‘”Zoom” Would Like to Access the Camera.’ Touch [OK].
- A window titled “Video Preview” appears. Touch [Join without Video].
- This message appears – ‘”Zoom” Would Like to Access the Microphone.’ Touch [OK].
- This message appears – ‘To hear others please join audio.’ Touch [Call using Internet Audio].
- You will be connected into the meeting.

Android

- Clicking the link above, [Join BRC Meeting], opens the Zoom website which gives you the option to download from Google Play or from Zoom. Choose [Download from Google Play].
- The ‘ZOOM Cloud Meetings’ app page opens in Google Play. Tap the [Install] button.
- A resource access list appears. Click [ACCEPT].
- Wait while the app is downloaded and installed. Then click the [Open] button.
- The Zoom app opens to a ‘Sign In’ page. It is not necessary to sign in. Click [Join a Meeting] at the lower right.
- The next screen asks for a Meeting ID. Enter 3033034444. Click [Join Meeting].
- A ‘Video Preview’ window opens, click [Join without Video].
- At the lower left there are two options for audio, select [Call via Device Audio].
- You will be connected into the meeting.

Zoom Security
BRC upgraded security of the Zoom platform by adding a password to access the BRC Zoom platform. For attending meetings, use the link in the RiB or the invitation sent to members by email. (Please update your email with [email protected] if you are not receiving the email invitation.) If you wish to invite a guest, please forward the invitation to your guest.
For committee chairs hosting a meeting, please:
1. When scheduling a meeting, leave the password requirement ON.
2. Do NOT change the password, as this will change the password for everyone else’s meetings.
3. Participants – use the link to avoid entering the password.
4. Participants who phone-in are also required to use password.
5. When scheduling, be sure to check the other scheduled meetings to avoid conflicts or overlaps.
6. When scheduling, please enter identifying information in the calendar, such as the committee name and contact person, in case the administration has to contact someone about the meeting, e.g. to resolve a conflict or reschedule.
